Onco-Pediatrics

Onco-Paediatrics, or paediatric oncology, is the specialisation that focuses on children and adolescents with cancer including the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care. It is a specialized field that addresses cancers unique to children, that differ from adult cancers and require a multidisciplinary treatment plan that could include a combination of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and supportive care.

It also includes providing emotional support for the child and their family during the treatment.

Leukemias (acute lymphoblastic, acute myeloid)

Lymphomas (Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin)

Brain and spinal cord tumors

Bone cancers (osteosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma)

Soft tissue sarcomas
